The cost of PADI eLearning is included in our premium course price.
The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course at Ocean Frontiers offers 5 training boat dives plus an additional orientation boat dive at the start of the course to recap the basic skills of a certified scuba diver. These 6 dives are led by one of our experienced instructors and will enable you to dive to 100ft/30m anywhere in the world.
This course is all about advancing your skills as a diver and building greater confidence in yourself with the close guidance and expertise of your PADI Instructor. The eLearning provides you with interactive knowledge reviews covering deep diving and navigation followed by an adventurous scuba platter of 9 specialities of diving that you get the chance to sample and try out for yourself. The ones that we offer at Ocean Frontiers are as follows:
After enrolling, PADI's eLearning system presents you with interactive presentations that include videos, audio, graphics, and reading. Short quizzes let you gauge your progress, and review and correct anything you might happen to miss. This lets you move through the program efficiently and at your own pace.
You need to complete the first training dive within one year of completing the PADI Advanced eLearning course. However, once you gain access to the eLearning and complete a knowledge review quiz, you will always have lifetime access to the content.
Once you finish the eLearning portion of the course, the Ocean Frontiers Dive Center is notified that you have completed it and that you are ready for the practical phase of the program.
The Rescue Diver adventure dive will cover self-rescue skills, assisting a tired diver at the surface, rescuing a panicked diver at the surface and searching for a missing diver with the use of an underwater search pattern.
Due to the nature of the skills required at the surface, the time spent diving underwater may be considerably less than other adventure dives.
