'Tis the Shark Season

Ocean Frontiers Dive Shop is now offering some amazing encounters throughout the year that you will really be able to get your teeth into.

Ocean Frontiers will be offering our thrilling "X-Dive" experiences weekly on Thursday afternoon and once a month on the last Saturday in the afternoon.

With our X-Dives, it is never a question of IF you see a shark, but how many sharks did you see?  If you don't see any sharks on our X-Dives, we'll take you back out again for free.

All of our X-Dives include a mini-workshop on sharks in Cayman and shark conservation. With the informative talk and 1-tank dive with sharks, you will leave with a new appreciation for these amazing creatures that call Cayman home.  A Staff Photographer will be on each dive to take ID shots of each shark, as well as any close-ups with you and your new finned friends.

Learn about:-

  • Why do we see twice as many sharks in December vs July?
  • What is the most common shark in Cayman?
  • Which Sharks roam and visit all 3-Islands?
  • How many sharks live in the Cayman Islands?
  • Where are the hotspots for seeing Sharks in the Cayman Islands?
  • Do Sharks eat Stingrays at Stingray City?
  • Is it illegal to catch, eat, or sell sharks in Cayman?
  • Are Sharks a sign of a healthy coral reef?
  • What can you do to help protect Sharks?

Price = US$99 per diver

Included:- The 'X-Dive', 1-Tank Boat Dive - Point-to-Point covering 3 dive sites on the wall, shark sightings, mini-workshop, nitrox (optional).

Not Included:- Rental Gear & Gratuities.

Note: Sharks are not guaranteed, but we will take you to where they live. Sharks are not fed and chum is not used on our X-Dive. This is a natural encounter with sharks in their natural habitat. Sharks are common in the Cayman Islands, you just need to know where to find them. If you do not see a shark on the X-Dive, we will take you on another dive trip for free.

Come and visit the 'Shark End' of Grand Cayman, East End. Brought to you by the dive company that specializes in world-class experiences such as Coral Spawning Night Dives, 12-Mile Bank Ship Wreck Dives, and Bloody Bay Wall Expeditions. If you are looking for an adventure- this is the place.
